Aug. 17, 2010 - Call for Nominations for LISAA executive

At the AGM, there will be an election for the executive positions of Vice President/President Elect (3-year term) and Treasurer (2-year term).

A Nominating Committee has been formed; its members are Trish Chatterley (Chair), Thane Chambers, and Linda Slater. If you would like to be nominated or to nominate someone else for these positions, please fill out the Nomination Form and submit to one of the Nominating Committee members. The deadline for nomination submission is Monday September 13, 2010.

Nominees for the above positions and their nominators must be members in good standing of NAHLA, and according to the Bylaw (Art 5, Sec 1) NAHLA executives must be CHLA/ABSC members. For further details about the roles and duties of the posts, please refer to the Association Bylaws at: http://www.nahla.ca/bylaws.html, or contact one of the nominating committee members or any other member of the current executive.

NAHLA has introduced a "Featured Member" section on its website. The first profile is Louisa Fricker, who is a research coordinator for the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta.


2010, January 7th - Apply for the NAHLA Continuing Education Award

The award was established at the 2009 AGM to enhance access to professional development opportunities for NAHLA members. It will consist of $200 and free registration to the annual TRENDS mini-conference. Deadline: March 1st, 2010.

In addition to Vice-President/President-Elect, the position of Secretary is also open. Please see the Call for Nominations below. The nomination date has been extended to Sept 21, 2009.

2009, July 27 - Call for Executive Nominations 2009-2010

Please consider running for the NAHLA executive for 2008-2009. There are two positions that are open:

  • Vice-President (3 year term as VP serves as President and then Past-President in subsequent years)
  • Secretary (2 year term)
